A broad coalition of Hondurans and social movements have joined forces to protest the 2009 military/political Honduran Coup and the policies of the current government. They have been met with repression and human rights abuses reminiscent of the military dictatorships of the 1980s. Four speakers from the Frente Nacional de Resistencia Popular will explain the basic outline of the coup, its economic and political consequences, the types of human rights abuses that have been occurring and the specific impact on various Honduran populations.
